Tintagel Castle

Tintagel Castle
Half on the mainland and half on a jagged headland, the ruins of Tintagel are spectacular.

Although all that remains of this medieval site is its ruins, Tintagel is every inch an exciting destination for inspirational learning, because it’s so full of history and intriguing legends.

Tintagel’s new exhibition explores the origins of the site’s links to the legends of King Arthur, and how they inspired the Earl of Cornwall to build a castle on this rugged coastal spot in the 13th century.
