Exeter’s Underground Passages
The 14th century medieval passages under Exeter High Street are a unique visitor attraction!
Exeter’s underground passages have long fascinated local people with stories of sieges, plague and pestilence. Their purpose was actually to give medieval plumbers access to pipes that brought water from outside the walls into the city!
Because of the nature of the passages, tours are guided and are not suitable for wheelchairs or prams. Your tour will include a 10-minute film presentation, and a chance to explore the new exhibition.
